I decided to tangle the same tile that I use for my beginner class. It looks great. Purk is done in red brass, Static is drawn in silver, Cresent moon is done in sterling silver, Hollibaugh is tangled in copper.
To further my learning in Metal point I went to London, UK. My childhood friend, Janice, lived there at the time so I stayed with her and bonus, she loves museums too!
We went several times the museum to visit the exhibit drawing in silver and gold.
It was very small space but had the room was filled with pieces through time.
To see the marks made the artists was very touching:
“It features works by some of the greatest artists working from the late 14th century to the present including Rogier van der Weyden, Petrus Christus, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Albrecht Dürer, Hans Holbein the Elder, Lucas van Leyden, Rembrandt, Edward Burne-Jones, William Holman Hunt, Otto Dix, Jasper Johns and Bruce Nauman.”
A wonderful trip, I learnt so much and was so inspired to get working again.
Here are a few pieces I did once I was back.
Next post will be a familiar tile that gets a new look.
